Middle East spice mixture

There are 3 typical spice mixtures found out from the spices list. They are Advieh, Baharat and Za’atar.

Advieh

Advieh is the very popular spice mixture in the Middle Eastern culinary. The main ingredients in this mixture are such as nutmeg, cumin, cloves, cinnamon and cardamom. It is with the powder form mostly.

Baharat

The spice mixture is also called Bahrat in the spices list. The main spices mixed include black peppercorns, cinnamon, coriander, cloves, cardamom, paprika and nutmeg. It is used widely in Middle Eastern recipes with the powder form or fine crushed form.

Latin American and The Caribbean spice mixture groups

There are 3 typical spice mixtures in this group. They are Adobo, Jerk Spice and Chili Powder.

Adobo

Adobo is used very popular in Latin American and Caribbean recipes. It gives the nice aroma and slight spicy. The main ingredients are such as paprika, black pepper, onion, oregano, cumin, chili powder, and garlic etc. It is with the powder form widely.

Jerk Spice

This is the simple spicy mixture with the main ingredients such as allspice, black pepper, thyme and cinnamon. Jerk Spice gives the slight aroma and spicy just a little bit. It is with the fine crushed or crushed form. Jerk Spice is used in the roasted recipes, grilled recipes and soups.

Chili Powder
